SoftUSE, Inc. was founded in 1986 by Ugur Edev and Tulin Edev, a husband-wife team. After running a Sir Speedy Printing Center for five years, they wanted a better solution for their estimating, invoicing, and accounts receivable. Ugur, a civil engineer by profession, designed a simple software that ran on an IBM PC, Jr. computer. Seeing how the easy-to-use-software improved their business, Ugur and Tulin decided to market it as Printer's Plan.

The first copy of Printer's Plan was sold in 1987 to another Sir Speedy owner in Marietta, Ohio. Printer's Plan sales increased quickly, and by 1989, Printer's Plan was the leading estimating and management program in the small to medium size printing market. Over the years, the user-base grew, the company grew, and Printer's Plan improved through many new versions.

Now, SoftUSE, Inc. is still the leader in the industry for its easy-to-use, innovative tools and customer-focused service. Printer's Plan has over 2,000 users in the U.S.A. and in Canada. Over 50% of Sir Speedy franchises, about 80% of American Speedy and Allegra Network franchises, and 90% of Signal Graphics franchises use Printer's Plan. Seven out of the past twelve presidents of PrintImage International, the largest association for small to medium size printers, use Printer's Plan.

With the support of satisfied Printer's Plan users, PrintImage International selected SoftUSE, Inc. as the Supplier of the Year for 2001.

PrintImage, the Association of Quick and Small Commercial Printers, has selected SoftUSE as the Supplier of the Year 2001.

This award is presented to a member supplier company demonstrating consistent and outstanding products, service and/or support to the quick and small commercial print industry during the previous year. In addition, this company must have:

• demonstrated throughout the organization consistent customer service and support through professionalism and integrity

• quality products of particular benefit to the industry

• innovative products which meet the current and evolving needs of customers served by the quick and small commercial printing industry

• problem-solving sales, service and support staff members who consistently exceed the needs and expectations of printer customers

• consistently sought to advance the competitiveness of the quick and small commercial printer.
